And then I got sick.

Minutes after posting my last blog about COVID-19/coronavirus, I felt a little tickle in my throat. Had to be psychosomatic.

Alas, I spent the last 7 days sick, sicker, sure that I had strep throat, at the doctor’s (nurses know this is the ultimate in emergencies), and with antibiotics for strep. So I got a seasonal illness unrelated to COVID-19 and probably worse than COVID-19 and, single lady that I am checked the back of my throat with a mirror and an iphone, drove self to doc, used my appropriate-sized supply of meds and tissues, made a lot of tea, and lived.

I even wrote an article covering COVID-19 while my fever was peaking. This is my version of running a marathon. That post-article nap was amazing.

All to say, we are all vulnerable to everything we were vulnerable to before even now while our attention is on this novel virus. Be extra careful, take your meds on time, don’t play tackle football.

Stay out of the hospital babe,

Melissa
